Our Why

Transfer students often enter college without the built-in networks that traditional students rely on. Whether arriving from community colleges or other four-year institutions, they face a major challenge: information asymmetry. Unlike their peers, transfer students frequently lack access to insider knowledge — how to navigate campus culture, where to find key resources, or how to get involved.

This gap creates an uneven playing field. While many schools offer general orientation programs, few provide the targeted support transfer students need to thrive. The result? Missed opportunities, delayed adjustment, isolation — and for many, not graduating on time.

At its core, the problem is simple but serious: transfer students don’t know what they don’t know, and they often have no one to ask - that's where we come in.
